New research findings from The Centre for Medicines Research (CMR) International Ltd, a Thomson business, reveal that new molecular entity (NME) output rose in 2004 after a dramatic ten year decline. R&D expenditure and pharmaceutical sales both showed a steady increase over the same period, with sales outperforming R&D expenditure in recent years.
